I’ve always been intrigued by those television shows that show what a city would look like if mankind were extinct and nature went… Wild. Cities are beautiful in that “progress of mankind” kind of way but when you see images like these, with the beauty of nature overtaking man-made objects in a sea of glass, steel, and concrete, you can’t help but stop and admire.
The challenge, if you have not already guessed, is capturing images that show nature rearing its beautiful head into urban settings. Think about that wall that is covered in vine you see on your way to work every day, or the flower poking its head up through the crack in the sidewalk. Look for images of nature contrasting with its surroundings like the way black contrasts with white.
