Quick Tip – Another Version Of The Rule Of Thirds

Instead of focusing on putting your subject at one of the intersecting points in the Rule of Thirds, try splitting your image into a third, a third, a third, like above.  It will grab the viewer’s attention and allow them to absorb more of the photograph rather than being directed to one specific point.  It’s still helpful to use other compositional elements to create dynamic images, above you’ll notice leading lines and reflections as well as the rule of thirds.

Give it a try and submit your success to our Facebook page or use the Submit An Article link above.  We’ll feature the best shots right here on PhotolisticLife.
